J.P. Cooke Company is a fourth-generation family business based in Omaha, Nebraska. Founded in 1887, the company evolved into a specialist in custom marking solutions: rubber stamps, engravings, stencils, and metal tags. Serving retailers and wholesalers across the country.

For all its history, the business ran on a fragile foundation. QuickBooks Desktop files would grow too large, corrupt, and bring everything to a halt. Each incident required a specialist, sometimes consuming 36+ hours. But corrupted files were only the most visible symptom. The entire operation depended on manual entry, paper handoffs, and disconnected tools.

A fully integrated system built around how J.P. Cooke actually operates.

Atelion designed a connected system tailored to J.P. Cooke’s specific workflows, not a generic setup. The foundation was migrating from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online, integrated with a custom-configured CRM via real-time, two-way sync.

QuickBooks migration & CRM integration

Moved to a cloud-based accounting environment, eliminating file corruption entirely. A real-time, two-way sync with the CRM became the operational hub.

WooCommerce order automation

Online orders now flow into the system automatically. An auto-generated daily report replaced two full days of manual inbox processing per week.

ShipRush API integration

Manufacturing copies push to ShipRush automatically. Tracking numbers, weights, and costs return to the CRM in real time. The physical folder system retired entirely.

TaxCloud API for automated sales tax

All multi-state tax calculations routed through TaxCloud automatically, eliminating the manual state-by-state filing that consumed nearly a full workday per cycle.

Custom invoicing, orders & commissions

Sales orders and invoices rebuilt for J.P. Cooke’s retailer and wholesaler workflows. A custom commissions calculator replaced a third-party platform, with automated unpaid invoice reports for each sales rep.
